A New Version of the the Wideye™ SABRE™ Ranger M2M Terminal Firmware has been Approved by Inmarsat.

Addvalue is pleased to announce that Inmarsat has approved the latest Wideye™ SABRE™ Ranger M2M Firmware Version R01.0.1.  Inmarsat has uploaded this Firmware to their server which allows for Over-The-Air (OTA) Firmware upgrading.  This Firmware has additional capabilities including being fully compatible with Remote Terminal Manager (RTM).  Any distributor or customer who has been waiting to have remote connectivity and monitoring of their SABRE™ Ranger M2M units are able to do this without having to send somebody to the remote location of the SABRE™ Ranger M2M to upgrade the Firmware.

This firmware is also available for downloading for local upgrading from Addvalue’s webpage as well as Inmarsat’s Support webpage.

The Key Features of RTM are:

  • Having online access to all terminals on one screen.
  • Being able to reboot terminal remotely, without deploying a field engineer.
  • The option to remotely control the unmanned device in the field (set up an IP data session or take a data session down).
  • The option to see the unmanned device in the field or all the devices on one screen in real-time.
  • Geo Fencing: additional layer/level of security.
