24. The phone keeps ringing, but the terminal does not seem to answer an incoming fax. Why?
Answer
When there is an incoming fax call, the handset will not ring. Instead, it will only show an incoming fax icon on the handset. And the terminal will answer the call quietly after 3 rings. When the reported problem happens, check again whether the correct “fax number” instead of the “voice number” has been dialled. These two numbers are normally different, and can be obtained from the service provider.
